For SafeShopping
Even if you are a minor, you have the legal right to make purchases with your own allowance or earnings. However, for online shopping including ebooks, some platforms may have age-based restrictions in their terms of service. Additionally, your purchases may be shared with a parent or guardian depending on your account settings.
Apple Books:
If you are under 13, creating an Apple ID requires parental consent, and Family Sharing will be turned on automatically, meaning your purchases will be visible to your parent or guardian. Once you turn 13, there is a way to leave the Family Sharing group on your own.
Kindle:
According to Amazon.co.jp's terms of service, you must be 18 or older to create an account.
Google Play:
If you are under 13, creating a Google account requires parental consent, and Family Link will be turned on automatically, meaning your purchases will be shared with your parent or guardian. When you turn 13, you can choose to manage your Google account yourself, after which you can leave the family group to stop sharing your purchases.
Rakuten Kobo:
There are no age restrictions for creating a Rakuten account or purchasing books on Rakuten Kobo.
